Dreary Day
Sorry... really, I really couldn't help it. Not cheery, I know but I'll get there.
A dreary autumn day
Grey and raining with no sign of change
Wander from the kitchen
To one of the two windows that look outwards
Not even much traffic to speak of
Sit down to wander the online world
But the tragedies and travesties
Of rich men and celebrities
Hold no sway with me
Nothing to see
Scan through some old photographs
Immediately stumble into memory
I shouldn’t have looked here
The ghosts return to haunt me
Grasping for my soul
Faces and names long gone
Lost to accident and incident
And reeking of regret
Details banal and horrible
Never to forget
I write to cleanse myself
Of times gone
That still live within me
Seeking forgiveness
For things said and not
Nothing changes yesterday
No faults erased
Or cruel wordplay
The words of love I didn’t say
Will remain unsaid

Look up who started the KKK coward.
You’re the typical retard that shoots his fucking mouth off and doesn’t have a clue.
Take another booster you ignorant fuck.
I’m a real Canadian unlike the clown you’re.
I think that we have all had days like this. This may sound strange, but one of the things that I find reassuring is to check my barometer. We have one of the traditional kinds with a large round dial and a pointer that you can set to the last reading. You tap the case to unstick the mechanism and the needle moves to indicate the current air pressure. Usually a rise in pressure indicates that clearer weather is on the way. Falling pressure indicates a coming storm. In either case you have an unmediated and physical prediction of the weather in the hours to come. Nature is much more powerful than any of us as individuals, but we don't have to live in ignorance of her moods, and we can take some comfort in knowing them. We are not entirely powerless to set our own course (or at least close the windows and make sure the heat is working).
